National Bourbon Day is believed to be the anniversary of the first day this spirit was distilled.

However, the origin of bourbon is still up for debate. Some say it originated in Bourbon County while others claim Bourbon street. The name bourbon is derived from the House of Bourbon, a French dynasty.

On May 4, 1964, Congress declared Bourbon to be America’s Native Spirit.

Under federal law, all bourbon must be produced in the United States. Although it can be distilled in any state, 95% is made in Kentucky.

All bourbon is whiskey, but not all whiskey is bourbon.

Per the American Bourbon Association, bourbon must be derived from at least 51 percent corn and aged in unused charred oak barrels.

There are dozens of bourbon cocktail recipes to enjoy.

The most popular bourbon cocktails are an Old Fashioned, Mint Julep, and a Manhattan. Bourbon drinkers enjoy the unique flavors of oak, vanilla, and caramel that cannot be found anywhere else.

You can now enjoy Bourbon without the alcohol.

Spiritless Kentucky 74 is the world's first distilled, non-alcoholic bourbon. It has a high-quality, smooth finish and can replace full-proof bourbon in your favorite cocktails.
