Kentucky 74

Regular price $35.99

Our Kentucky 74 is a beautifully distilled non-alcoholic spirit for bourbon cocktails. Pick your potency: go halfsies by pairing one-to-one with your favorite bourbon whiskey to cut down on ABV and calories, or, go completely Spiritless by replacing the alcohol entirely. Either way, Kentucky 74 delivers a high-quality, smooth finish, underpinned by familiar notes of caramel, vanilla, and oak.

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee if you sip but aren't smitten.

A wonderful product that lives up to its description

I put in my first order when their creation was first announced. While it sounded too good to be true I trusted the source. They were inundated with orders just as production got underway. Next the dreadful Covid hit us which drastically slowed product. My immediate reaction was too worry a small and start-up business could not survive.
Magnificent commitment of owner/creator enterprise meant work continued. What struck me was the virtue of market economy at its best. As former professor of business ethics, here is exemplified ethical commitment to people who ordered their product. They encountered several packaging delays and worked on.
Anxiously awaiting their survival and anticipated shipment, my shipment arrived. WOW! Love at first sip. Serving neat, on rocks, and some favorite cocktails my guests have been universally impressed. As described it works both strait or Halfsies. When serving at social gatherings when across evening where three is often for each guest. I found I could satisfy both saying goodbye without drivers leaving below limits, and guests also enjoyed.
The most popular formula? First, 2/3 bourbon, second 1/2 bourbon, third 1/3 bourbon. For those for whom two drinks are not enough but three is too many, a fourth is pure spiritless.
My favorite is Manhatten. Bourbon-Spiritless combo and substituting Vermouth with Amaro. Forget not a black cherry.

Such a lovely choice

I'm a recovered alcoholic, and while I don't miss much of anything from those days, it's a huge drag to have so few drink choices when hosting a party. NA beer only goes so far and mocktails are usually just glorified fruit juice. But Kentucky 74 has given me so many more choices and for that I'm so thankful. As it happens my favorite NA beer is Athletic's Upside Dawn, which is exactly what Spiritless recommends in their Shandy recipe, so imagine my delight mixing up my first one of those at a recent summer party. I also recently got my hands on an NA sweet vermouth and have been making some wonderful K74 Manhattans. In fact, on the rocks Kentucky 74 by itself sort of tastes like a Manhattan so that's a nice simple option too. I could NOT be happier with this and I'm so thankful that it exists — I look forward to repeat purchasing and keeping a bottle of Kentucky 74 in my home bar for years to come. Thank you!

Surprise reaction

I was a Knob Creek or Makers Mark loyalist for years. I was pleasantly surprised at how good your product is. I drink it over ice but might try a few of your recipes

Just like bourbon!

This company achieved the impossible. To me, I'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between this and classic bourbon. I love it on the rocks. Delicious!

Good for teetotalers.

It’s been so long since I’ve actually drank bourbon, I hesitate to compare it to bourbon with alcohol. However, it’s not too bad mixed with ginger ale. Straight, not so much.

New Fashioned

Our favorite way to drink Kentucky 74 – Old Fashioned, but make it new.
